Waste Management Recycling Event - Tuesday, May 06, 2008

Join the Green Revolution—Start Recycling!

Waste Management and Smoky Hill High School are teaming up to promote recycling in Tallyn’s Reach. Students from Smoky Hill have organized this event so that residents can get on board with the green revolution by recycling. Tallyn’s Reach Master Association already has a contract with Waste Management for each owner to receive recycling at no additional cost to the owner, but few owners use the service.

Order your recycling bins or tote from Waste Management and begin recycling. Save money by ordering during this event! Waste Management will waive the set up and delivery costs, a savings of $5 to $30. Recycling is easier than ever—now you can combine all of your recyclables in one bin! Saturday, May 17, 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM near the entrance to the clubhouse. Tallyn’s Reach HOA and related organizations are not involved in this event. Please note that this is not an Association event. This offer is a collaboration of Waste Management and Smoky Hill High School. Tallyn’s Reach Master Association will not be able to assist with any questions regarding your recycling bins purchased during this event.

Pool Access - Monday, May 05, 2008

We have posted the pool information below so you will know how to get your Pool Photo ID Card.

Each member of the household who is older than 3 years of age will be required to obtain a photo id card. Pool Access Photo ID Card (pdf file)

The following are a list of the photo id cards available:

Homeowner - any adult (18 or older) living in the home

Nanny - any adult (18 or older) who does not live in the home but will be bringing your children to the pool

Youth - any youth (14 - 17) who lives in the home and is permitted to use the pool without adult supervision

Child - any child (3-13) who lives in the home.

Vendor - any vendor who will need access to the pool - but should not be using the facilities.

Photo id cards will not be issued without your pool Exhibits being on file and homeowner dues being current. You may download the Exhibits and bring with you to purchase your Pool Id Badge. Downloads are located under the following: Pool Information & Forms

Please note - if anyone attempts to enter the swimming pool with another persons photo id badge - it will be confiscated at the gate and will be deactivated.

CLUBHOUSE RESERVATIONS - Wednesday, April 09, 2008

Do you want to use the clubhouse this year? Below is the new process to reserve the clubhouse.

On this drop down menu click on CLUBHOUSE/POOL
Then click on CLUBHOUSE RESERVATION CALENDAR
Once on this page there are instructions.
Read instructions to understand how to read the calendar and how to reserve the clubhouse.
Print the application – complete and return to our office with 2 separate checks.

You will receive an email confirmation once you have reserved the clubhouse.

IPS Bark Beetle - Tuesday, April 08, 2008

Bark Beetles kill pine and spruce trees. Homeowners are responsible for the trees on your lot. If you loose a tree it is your responsibility to replace that tree per the City of Aurora requirements. We strongly recommend that you take the preventative measure and have your trees sprayed.

Spruce trees should be sprayed two times each year, once in the spring and once in the summer. Pine trees should be sprayed at least once in the spring.

All Metro District trees are being sprayed by Swingle Tree 303-337-6200. Remember prevention is the key that can save your valuable spruce and pine trees!

The Goddard School® Is Coming To Tallyns Reach! - Monday, April 07, 2008

The Goddard School^® located at 23905 East Arapahoe Road (adjacent to the library), is at last, under construction. The new state-of-art 8,000 square foot building has been designed to accommodate 130 children from six weeks to six years old. The new School is projected to open in the summer of 2008 and will offer flexible schedules for children Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

NEW 2008 - Design Guidelines - Tuesday, January 15, 2008

We would like to thank all of the homeowners who participated in the Design Amendment Survey. The Board reviewed and took all survey submittals into consideration.

A few of the areas that were directly affected from the survey are as follows:

Design Application - this information has been added to let owners know where they can find the application.
Flag - we have clarified this rule for clarity on what flags are being discussed.
Application fees - clarification on what consitutes a fee and what may be considered minor changes.
Portable Basketball Hoops - this rule was changed to allow year round storage of portable hoops in the driveway provided some minimum qualifications are met.
Driveway Space - there is now a rule to address items stored or placed in the driveway. Please familiarize yourself with this new rule.

There are other areas that received minor changes. Please take the time to review the NEW 2008 Design Guidelines.
